CCSHOF induct nine new members

The Carroll County Sports Hall of Fame held its twenty-second banquet and inducted nine new members at their annual banquet on May 4, at the Carroll County Civic Center. The CCSHOF also recognized ten students from around the county for their achievements on the field and in the classroom.

 The students selections were based on academics and playing career and each student received a plaque and donation of 300$ that came from the Jimmy Carey Foundation and the CCSHOF. The two students from Huntingdon were Lilly Kee and C.J. Pelonero. Kee had a G.P.A. of 4.0 and played basketball, Volleyball, and Cross Country. Pelonero had a G.P.A. of 3.77 and was an outstanding football player.

 Clarksburg’s two students were Chloe Rae Crum and Jacob Derryberry. Crum has a G.P.A of 3.9 and participated in Volleyball, softball, cheer, and basketball. Derryberry has a G.P.A. of 3.5 and played basketball, baseball, and was a member of the fishing team for two years.

 Hollow Rock- Bruceton Central’s two students were Addison Hampton and MyKenzie Burton. Hampton had a G.P.A of 4.0 and played softball, basketball, and cheer. Burton has a G.P.A. of 4.0 and played softball, basketball, and cheer.

 McKenzie’s two students were Savannah Davis and Stafford Roditis. Davis has a G.P.A. of 3.9 and played basketball, softball, and track. Roditis has a G.P.A. of 3.95 and was member of the football, basketball, and soccer teams.
