The Shepherd’s Table will be having their next supper on the third Tuesday of the month, November 19th, at the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon, located at 19835 E. Main Street. Dining will begin promptly at 5p.m. and the kitchen will be open until 6:45 p.m. Anyone hungry or seeking fellowship for a meal is invited.

The Shepherd’s Table is a Community Kitchen created by the members, volunteers and friends of the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon. Lead by Co-chairmen and church members, David Ray Carter and his wife, Suzanne. The Shepherd’s Table has grown over the last year and now feeds more than 100 people each month.

Everyone that attends The Shepherd’s Table is treated as a guest and served restaurant style. Guests are taken to a table and seated by a volunteer. Someone else then comes to their table and takes their supper and drink order. The November meal will be a Thanksgiving feast with turkey, dressing and all the yummy fixings. The meal also includes a drink and dessert. The volunteers do all of the cleanup, as well. The guests are asked to simply enjoy a delicious meal compliments of the hard-working kitchen staff.

If you know of someone that needs a hot meal or would just prefer to not eat alone please inform them about The Shepherd’s Table or better yet bring them by and join.

More information about volunteering or donating to the Shepherd’s Table may be obtained by calling The First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon at (731) 986-5642. If no answer, please leave a message, someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
